Hi all I'm going to study space demons this term- i've written a reading to learn script if anyone is interested.

Just Diana here from ghps still wondering what book we are doing. i need to write a reading to learn cycle before term 1 begins. if noone else has any ideas i think i might be interested in doing robin kleins halfway accross the universe i think the students would enjoy it- only issue is that's it's out of print but i'm sure we can find enough copies. our library has enough for us to begin. di please respond with any other ideas.
Hi all just starting to think about planning for first term- have we decided on a book? I'm not too bothered as long as it is age appropriate and not too challenging. thanks diana

I have been looking for the suggested novels to read but I haven't had much luck. We don't have them in our library and the Orange City doesn't have them although it is possible to order some from Forbes etc.
Coleen (also from CPS) was going to ring the ladies from Molong and see if they have any ideas.
I have been reading Emily Rodda's The Forests of Silence but it is more of a fantasy than SF.
Do you have a suggestion?

Thank you for dropping by the wiki. I might be able to 'ease' your troubles just a little. I've put together a resource to support teachers as they teach the SciFi narrative unit next term - it will be uploaded onto this wiki by the end of the week. Within the resource you will find a range of extracts from SciFi novels which may be useful.
I've also come to the conclusion that it's not an essential requirement of our work next term that PODs study one text. (See the UPDATES page for further info.) Cheers,
